Assurance of Quality

Central Body Works is a DUPONT Assurance of Quality or "AOQ" Collision Repair Center. AOQ is a program offered by DUPONT to distinguish only Top Quality repair shops. The DUPONT AOQ Program has strict guidelines that must be met for the Entire Repair process and the Facility. When Dupont distinguishes a shop as an AOQ Collision Repair Center you can be assured that the shop has all the proper equipment, materials, training and qualified staff to properly restore your car to its pre-loss condition.

Do I need three estimates?

No, you are not required to get three estimates; your insurance company is however allowed to make reasonable adjustments to the estimate and must give their approval prior to starting the repair process.

WHERE DO I GET A CLAIM NUMBER?

Claim numbers are issued by your insurance company at the time you report your accident. Please write it down and bring it in with you it will speed up the amount of time it will take to process your claim.

WHAT IS A DIRECT REPAIR SHOP?

A direct repair shop is one that works directly with your insurance company and is one of their preferred shops. We are a direct repair shop for many insurance companies because we maintain the proper equipment and training to properly restore your car to its pre loss condition. When you choose Central Body Works as your direct repair shop, we will write your estimate, order the parts and complete the repairs without the hassle of having to run around and get a bunch of estimates. We try to take that extra step to make the claims process as painless as possible because at Central Body Works we are here to serve you.

What are your hours?

Monday through Friday 7:30am to 5:00 pm

WILL THE PARTS BE ORDERED BEFORE I DROP OFF MY VEHICLE FOR REPAIR?

We generally order your vehicle's parts at the time that we write the estimate and schedule your vehicle for drop-off a couple of days later. We try to do everything possible to minimize your downtime whenever possible.

IF MY VEHICLE'S FRAME IS DAMAGED IS IT A TOTAL LOSS?

Your car is a total loss only when the price of repairs exceeds the insurance companies determined value of your vehicle. Most cars now are built using unibody construction. Our highly skilled technicians are equipped with our "GENESIS VELOCITY" state-of the-art laser measuring system, and three top of the line Chief Frame Racks which are outfitted with everything necessary to return your vehicle to its original factory specifications. If it is determined that the frame section is bent beyond repair, we have all the equipment necessary to remove and replace that section.

CAN YOU MATCH THE PAINT COLOR?

HOW LONG WILL THE REPAIRS TO MY VEHICLE TAKE?

Your advisor will give you an estimate of the time it will take to complete the repairs to your vehicle at the time of your estimate. We generally Schedule drivable cars in on Monday and whenever possible and try to deliver them back to customers by Friday. Check with your advisor for the specific time frame for your vehicle.

CAN I GET A RIDE HOME WHEN I DROP OFF MY CAR?

HOW CAN I GET A RENTAL CAR?

If you need a rental car, we can help you make the necessary arrangements. Insurance companies will only pay for a rental car if you have that option on your policy or if you are a "Claimant" against the other party. Check your policy and/or call your insurance company to find out if you have rental coverage and what your specific limitations are. If you decide to use a rental car, Enterprise Rent A Car, or Thrifty Car Rental, either one will pick you up at our office, and they will also bring you back once your repairs are completed.

HOW WILL I KNOW WHEN MY CAR IS DONE?

Insurance companies determine fault by your account of the accident when you make the claim, and by reviewing the accident report filed with the police department. If you aren't sure about your deductible, you can call your advisor and he can tell you whether your insurance company has waived your deductible or whether you will be responsible to pay this when you pick up your vehicle.

WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?

We accept all Insurance Checks and Drafts, Visa, MasterCard, and Cash, due to the amount of retuned checks reciently we can no longer accept personal checks.

CAN I WASH MY CAR?

RECOMMENDATIONS AND PRECAUTIONS IN THE FIRST 30 DAYS

1. Wash the vehicle by hand with cool water and a very mild car wash or dish soap solution using a soft cloth or sponge.

2. Always use clean fresh water.

3. Wash your vehicle in the shade

4. Do not use a commercial car wash. Stiff brushes or sponges could mar the finish and damage the surface.

5. Do not "dry wipe" or "dust" your vehicle. Dry wiping will scratch the finish.

6. Do not drive on gravel roads. Chipping the finish is easily done in the first 30 days.

7. Do not park under trees and utility lines which are likely to attract birds. Bird droppings have a high acid content and will damage a freshly painted surface. Tree sap will mar or spot a freshly painted surface.

8. Do not spill gasoline, oil, antifreeze, transmission fluid, or windshield solvent on the new finish.

9. Do not scrape ice or snow from the newly painted surface. Scrapers can act like a paint scraper on a newly painted finish.

RECOMMENDATIONS AND PRECAUTIONS IN THE FIRST 90 DAYS

Do not wax or polish the vehicle. This will allow the finish to dry and harden completely.
